Field Reports on Better Than Dead
Better Than DeadBetter Than Dead might be the best bodycam shooter on Steam right now
Better Than Dead is the bodycam shooter I would actually point you at on Steam right now, because the Hong Kong revenge loop still has weight once the fisheye stops being the whole trick. It has been in Early Access since 12 May 2026, it is short and brutal rather than finished, and I am calling it three and a half out of five.8 Jun 2026Read
Better Than DeadBest games like Better Than Dead (solo-friendly picks)
Nothing fully replaces Better Than Dead, so for stylish solo gunplay I would hand you Trepang2, for raw tactical close-quarters alone I would hand you OPERATOR and Ready or Not, and for the bodycam lens itself Bodycam wins while losing the loop because it is PvP-first.24 Jun 2026Read
Better Than DeadIs Better Than Dead multiplayer or co-op? The solo answer
Better Than Dead is entirely single-player, a bodycam revenge FPS with 14 levels and no co-op or multiplayer of any kind, and as of mid-2026 the roadmap points at a second solo mode called To Heaven rather than at networked play.24 Jun 2026Read
Better Than DeadCan you play Bodycam solo? Single player, explained
No, Bodycam does not have a proper solo or offline mode, because the Zombies playlist is still an online queue and the core loop is PvP, with no campaign and no offline bots for Deathmatch or Body Bomb. If you wanted a single-player bodycam game, Better Than Dead is the one you can actually play alone.21 Jun 2026ReadGames like this
