I hunted the Predator in Ghost Recon Wildlands. That is the whole sentence, and it is also the whole reason this page exists. Not Last Rites. The internet is currently very pleased with itself for rediscovering Wildlands. Shacknews still calls it far and away their favourite Ghost Recon. Last Rites in August 2026 gave that room a new swamp and a free excuse. I finished that update. I wrote whether Last Rites is worth playing. This is not that night. Predator was already in the game. I just went and did the job instead of waiting for the recast.
People follow people. I try to follow the session. The session was quiet until it was not. Bolivia does that if you let it. You count the ridge, you do not take the extra shot, and then something that is not Santa Blanca starts treating you like food. I have spent years telling people this map is the playground, not the helicopter taxi. Hunting a Predator in it is the same argument with a famous guest.
What this is not
It is not a walkthrough. Ubisoft still hosts the special operation. I am not listing spawn points. I am not selling a loadout. If you need a checklist, close this and go to a wiki. The film is the proof I kept: I hunted it, I did not fly over it, and the old map still had enough teeth to make that a sentence worth writing.
It is also not is Wildlands worth it in 2026. That page is the buying call. This page assumes you already have Bolivia installed, or you are the sort of person who watches a hunt before you spend the money. Do not buy a 2017 open world because a crossover exists. Buy it because the compounds still work when nobody is watching.
Why the hunt still plays
Wildlands at its best was never spectacle. It was the decision not to take the extra shot. Predator does not change that. It just gives the ridge a reason that is not another cartel lieutenant with a yellow icon. I turned the HUD down the way I always do. I did not bring a small air force. I walked it, because walking it is how you hear the game.
The room will tell you this is nostalgia. The room told me Breakpoint was the future and then spent a year arguing about bases. I play Auroa without capturing courtyards now. I wrote that down. Bolivia did not need a speech. It needed a hunt that was not Last Rites so I could show the difference between a free anniversary mission and the sandbox I actually keep installed.
If you want the next Ghost Recon to feel like this, I already asked that out loud when the leaks started sounding like a mood board. Play the thing they are reportedly copying. Ready or Not is the closer modern itch if you want doors. Wildlands is the closer open world if you want a country. Predator is one evening inside that country.

I hunted a Predator because the map asked for a job, and for once the job had a name everyone already knew.
